Support e-muhira
Support us
Keeping e-muhira alive, with you
The platform is free for everyone who learns on it: pupils, teachers, clubs, parishes and families. It still has a cost — hosting, content, translation, equipment for the clubs. Your support covers that cost and lets us reach one more commune, then the next.
What a gift pays for
Where your support goes
We would rather say exactly what the money does than promise great results. Your gifts feed these six areas.
Hosting the platform
Server, domain name, backups and maintenance of the learning space, so that it stays reachable and light on an ordinary phone.
Producing the content
Writing and reviewing the modules, action sheets, interactive exercises and downloadable resources, which work offline once saved.
Translating into four languages
French, Ikirundi, English, Kiswahili. The platform is currently in French and English; Ikirundi and Kiswahili are still to be translated. Every translation is checked by a native speaker before publication.
Equipping the clubs
Gloves, bags, small tools, registers and printed material for the environmental clubs and the Imuhira Parish groups.
Planting and restoring
Seedlings, nurseries and follow-up after planting — a tree only counts if it is still alive the following year.
Training the facilitators
Sessions for the teachers, club leaders and parish coordinators who guide young people in the field.
You will find no counter and no headline figure on this page: we publish no number that monitoring and evaluation has not confirmed.
How to give
Three ways to help
Choose whichever channel suits you. With any gift, please add the note « Soutien e-muhira » so that we can identify it and thank you.
Lumicash
The simplest way from inside Burundi, from any phone.
- Open Lumicash and choose “Money transfer”.
- Enter the number above, then the amount you choose.
- Keep the confirmation SMS: it is your proof of donation.
Bank transfer
For larger gifts, institutions, and transfers from abroad.
Write to us using the form below, or at info@acape-burundi.org: we will send you the bank details of ACAPE Burundi and the receipt for your transfer.

In-kind gifts and volunteering
Not everything goes through money. We also welcome:
- seedlings, seeds, gloves, bags or small field equipment;
- computers, phones or internet connections for school clubs;
- skills: translation, illustration, video, development, training;
- sponsoring a school club or an Imuhira Parish group for a year.

Transparency
What we commit to
The platform was built on a simple rule: we only publish what has actually been done. That rule applies to your gifts as well.
- Every gift receives an acknowledgement; a receipt is issued on request at info@acape-burundi.org.
- The funds go to the six areas described above, and to nothing else.
- We account for the use of gifts in our activity report, with figures from monitoring and evaluation, never estimates.
- A donor's name is published only with their written agreement; anonymity is possible and respected.
- Your contact details are never sold or passed on. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time at info@acape-burundi.org.
- A gift grants no special rights on the platform: the content stays free and open to everyone.
