A new course is open on e-muhira: “PSEA — Protection from sexual exploitation and abuse”.
It is for anyone working or volunteering with communities in Burundi: NGO and association staff, volunteers, club and hill facilitators, project teams, drivers, field workers and contractors.
Seven modules, about 12 hours in total, with cases drawn from Burundian situations:
- Gender, power and gender-based violence
- Understanding sexual exploitation and abuse
- Preparing your organisation’s PSEA journey
- The eight PSEA core standards
- Responding to an SEA or sexual harassment incident
- The PSEA Module in the UN Partner Portal
- From diagnosis to a gender and PSEA action plan
Pages can be read freely. With an account, you can take each module’s test, join the forums and obtain a certificate of completion once all seven tests are passed.
